missions trip/ spring break
My missions trip to China was a great experience. Although I was sick for part of the trip it was still really life changing to see what it is like to live in a country where God is suppressed and the people don't really have much of a chance to see and have a personal relationship with Him. The one thing that I noticed the most is that the respect level between people is low. They run into each other and don't really care. The merchants will annoy people even though they try to leave and ignore them. Also line-ups are just to show that there is something happening there that someone can get. The transit and food were okay but not what I really expected because living in Canada doesn't prepare you for the pure shock of the condition of China. Spring break was great except that I was sick for all of it and in bed trying to sleep for at least half of it. But because of the time changes and how my body adapted to the conditions in China (temperature, beds, etc.) I couldn't sleep until after twelve o'clock. Now I only have a cough and a slightly stuffy nose that are going away. I have been sick for about five and a half weeks with a cough. Everything was worth the trip overall though.
